Legislative Session 2005
Planning for the 2005 legislative session is underway! There are changes:
The Senate K-12 and Higher Education committees are combining to form one education committee. Senator Rosemary McAuliffe will chair the committee. Craig Pridemore (D-Van), who unseated Don Carlson in the November election, will serve as the Vice chair for Higher Education.
The Labor and Commerce Committee is now the Labor, Commerce, Research and Workforce Development committee. Jeanne Kohl-Wells serves as chair.
Here is the list of Senate Chairs, and Committee Structure for the 2005 Legislative Session. The first number to the right indicates how many members serve on the committee. The second set of (numbers) indicates how many democrats and republicans comprise the make-up of the committee.
